Paralympic Math

Today For Math in Lockdown we had to do stuff about the Paralympics. I'm not sure if I did it correctly but I think I did. This was interesting to do because I got to learn and see how many medals that people can get over the years of the Olympics.

Convert improper fraction to mixed numbers

While in lockdown we had to do some maths. I thought this was hard to do but I sort of learned how to do it.

Adding decimal

For maths, we had to add decimals. It was a bit wonky but I got the answer correct and I also explained how I did it. I liked getting to explain and write what I was doing. Something I didn't like was if I was inside it would be loud so I went outside and people were on the playground and on the field so I went on the court but people kept running past.

Adding with different denominates

Today for maths we had to make a video about how to add with different denominates. I sat outside with Harrison because his Chromebook would keep lagging out. I didn't really like doing this because it took a long time to set up and what I was going to write.

math medals

Today for maths I had to find the factors that the teachers gave me. What I had to do was look at each number and work out what the factors were by seeing what numbers would multiply to make to the given number. What I liked about this activity was using my time tables to find out the answers.

math medals

Today for maths I had to multiply a square number. I did it by looking at what the number was and if it had a 2 on the right side of it meant that I had to multiply it by the first number. I liked about doing this activity was once I got the hang of it it was easy.

math medals

Today for math medals I did my slide and this is my slide. WALT identify how many 10s, 100s, and 1000s are in a 7 digit number, we only did 10s and 100s. This math slide was quite easy because with 10s all you had to do was take the last number off and its the same with the 100s but you take two numbers off.

Tantalizing Transformations

This week in Whenua we had to do this slide show about Tantalizing Transformations so the teacher made the slide show and we and to go on our class site to see what we have to do for math or literacy medals and we get our slide show and copy it and do it. For the enlargement slide, I had to get my book, pencil and a ruler so I could do my work. What I did was wrote the ones it says to and then I wrote it double the size so if it was 5 centimeters I would of write 10 centimeters and I did that for all of the questions. With the lines of symmetry, all you had to do is fold them in half. With the order of symmetry, you had to flip the shape. With the reflection slide, you had to write a, b, c, d, e, and f and write the other side. With rotation, we had the square and we had to rotate it around the plus or whatever it is but the one with the square was the easiest because you don't need to rotate it but the other one is the hardest. And with transformations, you had to follow the steps so it was quite easy. By Kohen

number of the week

Today I did the number of the week and the number of the week was 632 number of the week is where you have a number and then you get questions of the number and have to work them out and on the second slide its write the number in words so I have to write it like six hundred thirty-two and that was what I write and in the next one it's called expanded form and its like 600+30+2=632 and then I would go to the next slide.

decimals

WALT add and subtract decimals. Today for Maths we had to do a slide and show our working on the slide. I really enjoyed this because it's really fun to work out. What I found difficult about this was that the questions were a bit hard and challenging
